Acne Treatment Reviews Research and Guide Keep You Well-Informed

I was doing online as well as 'off-line' research, in particular, on how to look at acne treatment reviews to choose the best acne treatment. I realized, other than listening to feedback from acne sufferers, I had looked at tons of acne information and numerous acne review sites to learn and know how I can possibly get, then share the best, most comprehensive, 'transparent' and quality content and reviews. Listening especially to frustrating and painful experiences from acne sufferers make this an ongoing meaningful and great learning experience for me.

With so much information and so many acne review sites, the question acne sufferers often ask is - how do we look at acne treatment reviews to choose the best acne treatment possible?

And we say 'possible' because the reality is, there is no absolute guarantee of 'totally healing acne' whether you go to a dermatologist, treat yourself at home, go for lasers and lights method, use over the counter products, get your acne treatment online, get prescriptive medication or use all natural ways - treat acne inside, treat acne outside or treat acne inside-out.

Effectiveness is more about higher or lower percentages and this really depends on many other factors too, apart from your unique acne and skin condition.

It is best to start with fixing an initial appointment with your skin specialist or dermatologist, get evaluated and see which direction and what options you have.
All that said, some acne treatment systems offer money-back guarantees, should the treatment fail to work within a certain time period.

This is not great because it still means you are not healed but as an acne sufferer said, "it's not great you know, but what the heck, at least I get my money back so like 'all is not lost'! And I use this money to keep looking! It's frustrating."

Although there is so much information out there, for a start, we may look at 3 basic factors that can help give us an idea. Factors such as:

1) Price

How much do these products cost? Are the products worth the overall quality and quantity? Do you need to use these products for the long run? Are they 'cost effective' for the long run? Can you get any discounts or packaged offers?

From our point of view, we felt price, at the end of the day, is a very personal thing. It really also depends on our lifestyle, our needs, our daily routines, our income, our expenses and more.

2) Product Ingredient

I feel ingredient and substance is one of the most important criteria in an acne treatment system or product. This criteria actually 'determines' if the product is best or not for your skin or acne condition.

In this case we want to know what ingredients are in these products. Will these ingredients cause side effects? Am I allergic to any of these ingredients?

For example, will my skin react to Benzoyl Peroxide? Have I talked to my skin specialist? Did I do a skin patch test or done allergy tests? Are these quality ingredients?

3) Effectiveness

How long will my treatment take to clear acne? When can I start to see 'results' or 'improvement' on my skin? Does this acne treatment treat inside-out? Is this a natural based treatment? Is this a complete and holistic treatment? Will my acne 'come back'?

And I should warn you, if you are looking to get rid of acne in like 3 days, 5 days, 7 days or even two weeks, there is no 'quick or short cut' acne fix. Besides, even if 'quick acne fixes' do seem to work in the beginning, in most cases, when acne 'comes back' it is worse than before.

The best acne treatments take time to clear acne completely and restore your skin complexion for the long run.

Light And Laser Treatment

What if you have money to burn? Well, if you have like thousands of dollars to burn, great.

You can go for expensive light and laser acne treatments and even remove acne scars with these sophisticated treatments. Still, these treatments need to be 'complimented' with every day skin care or acne skin care products and to 'manage' some temporary side effects like redness, dryness and sometimes dark spots on skin.

Good thing though, acne treatments using lights and lasers do not cause your skin to have allergic reactions and the healing percentage can go as high as 85%.

But should these treatments fail you, there is no money back guarantee and you have just burned a huge hole in your wallet.

You also need to take other factors into consideration because you still need to 'tackle' the inside or root cause of acne - like sticking to the right diet, living the 'right' lifestyle, keeping your stress levels down, having good digestion, keeping your hormones 'balanced' and having your liver functioning healthily.

Having said all that, use information you get from acne and acne treatment review sites as your guide. Always do your homework too. Doing all this should help you make well-informed decisions.
